Extension
FAQs
What are Tape-In Extensions and how are they applied?
Tape-in is a type of method of installing extensions. To apply tape-in extensions, one weft with tape on the top of the weft is applied to the bottom of a small section of your hair. Then, either a single sided tape or another tape-in weft, is applied to the top of that section of hair.
Are hair extensions damaging?
When done properly by a trained professional and taken care of properly at home, they are completely safe and can actually protect your hair and help it grow. Your install is done with the hair in natural fall, meaning that your hair is not moved from where it naturally lives. Your scalp health is my number one priority and I take continuing education throughout the year to ensure you are always receiving top of the line installations and results.
Does it hurt?
Your extensions should be comfortable and flexible from day one. It should not hurt, however there is additional weight being added which may be slightly uncomfortable of just feel heavy. This goes away within a few days if you experience it.
Why do people want extensions?
Some people are looking to add density and volume to thin hair. Some people are looking for more length. Some are looking for both.
How often are they maintained?
For the safety of your scalp, matting prevention, and the best looking extensions, maintenance is scheduled every 4-6 weeks. For more maintenance questions, please see my extension maintenance page.
Can i bring my own hair?
I prefer hair to be purchased through me. This is the only way I can ensure the quality and predictability of the hair.
